# OpenBorder Developer API

> OpenBorder is a cross-border e-commerce infrastructure platform that enables DTC brands to sell internationally without managing the complexity of global operations.

The OpenBorder API enables partners to seamlessly integrate with the OpenBorder platform, automate cross-border commerce workflows, and begin shipping internationally with minimal development effort.

## Getting Started

Follow these steps to go from zero to your first successful API call.

    OpenBorder offers multiple integration options to support different business and technical requirements. Review the available integration methods and select the one that best fits your existing workflows. If you're unsure which approach is right for you, contact your OpenBorder representative for guidance, and they will happily walk you through the various options.

  <Step title="Explore the APIs">
    Use the sample merchant environment to test API endpoints and familiarize yourself with the request and response formats. This will help you understand the data required by OpenBorder and the information returned by the platform.

  <Step title="Obtain Production Credentials">
    Once your integration is complete and ready for validation, notify your OpenBorder representative. We will provision your production credentials and work with you to perform end-to-end testing to ensure data is flowing correctly and all expected responses are being received.

    After testing is complete, you're ready to start shipping internationally and growing your global business!
